On 13 October 2010, INBO will organize a workshop in Brussels entitled "Monitoring Europe's biodiversity in a post 2010 era: the role of remote sensing for Natura 2000 reporting and ecosystem assessment". The workshop aims to bring best-practice examples of the use of remote sensing in biodiversity recording and monitoring in Europe, as a source of inspiration to the biodiversity conservation community. In a concluding discussion, recommendations will be formulated on how remote sensing can contribute to an operational biodiversity monitoring system in Europe.
Participants are requested to register before 30 September 2010 by sending their name, institutional address and contact details to habistat@inbo.be. INBO will try to get reduced prices in a nearby hotel (participants will be informed on this later on). More details on the workshop can be found in the attached document.
